There are some controlling forces
which regulate the mind
undesirable evil things
to plague all humankind

these forces tend to dominate
the life that is in man
undermining his will to act
for the glory of God’s plan

Satan’s dominion over man
exemplifies our times
the hardness of the hearts of men
breeds hatred of all kinds

the absence of God in the heart
is home for all evil
spirits that dwell within the mind
makes slaves for the devil

there is a way to be set free
from bondage of a vice
renunciation of all sin
through the Lord Jesus Christ

God has given man dominion
over Satan’s power
by way of the cross of Jesus
in evil’s darkest hour

praise the holy name of Jesus
His love can heal all pain
the grace of God enables man
to conquer Satan’s reign
